Virginia T. Dragon

Virginia T. Dragon, age 97 of Toledo passed away on Wednesday October 27, 2021 at Northwest Ohio Hospice, Toledo. Virginia was born on January 20, 1924 to Lawrence & Dorothy (Klemczak) Nurkiewicz. She was retired and a former employee of Doehler-Jarvis. Virginia was a long time member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chester and brothers John and Joseph Nurkiewicz and sisters Mary VanKlingeren, Helen Kowalski and Dorothy Nurkiewicz. She is survived by nephews Dennis Kowalski and Thomas Debin, along with numerous great Nephews and Nieces.

Virginia enjoyed traveling to Europe and the states to spend time with her Nieces and Nephews. Virginia was a caring, strong and loving individual who always practiced her faith. The loving attention she gave her Nieces and Nephews will be missed. A special mention to Cheryl Abele, who assisted with Virginia’s care for the last (4) years.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Blessed Sacrament Church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am followed by a funeral Mass. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. The family requests that any contributions in the name of Virginia be made to Blessed Sacrament Church.
