Virgil Yarger

Virgil Leroy Yarger age 80 of Toledo passed away Friday August 30, 2024, in the inpatient unit of Northwest Ohio Hospice Toledo. Virgil was born in Toledo on November 3, 1943, to Virgil Leroy and Martha (Klotz) Yarger. Virgil retired from the City of Toledo after 31 yrs. He was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed the Detroit Tigers and bowling. His most important love was his family and dog Mandy. He was preceded in death by his wife Christine, parents, son Brian and brother Lloyd Yarger. Virgil is survived by his children Kim (Mark) Schade and Jeff Yarger, sister Joyce Warner, grandchildren Bethany and Christian Yarger, adopted daughter Cheryl Grote and girlfriend Betty Herroon. The family will be receiving friends in the Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 2907 Lagrange St. Toledo, Ohio on Saturday September 7, 2024, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions can be given to Northwest Ohio Hospice.
