Vincent P. Macke Jr., a kind-hearted and hardworking individual, passed away tragically on September 9, 2023, at the age of 61 in Sylvania, Ohio. Vincent was born on March 27, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio, to Vincent P. and Anna (Hoernig) Macke.
Vincent's love for his family was unwavering. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Tina Macke, his cherished children, Nicole (Steve) Fox, Sarah Reynolds, Alison (Austin) Gilliam and Kyle Macke, grandchildren Spencer Reynolds, Mallory and Aubrey Fox, Faeryn Macke, Solimae and Sagun Patibandla, Elliana, Lucas and Avery Macke and great grandchild Samantha Reynolds. Vincent was a doting father, always ensuring his family's happiness and well-being. Preceding him in death were his parents, his son Sam and his sister Anna Mikolajczyk. His kind and patient nature made him an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Vincent's journey began at Central Catholic High School, where he earned his diploma in 1980. During his time there, Vincent's passion for music led him to play the trombone and ultimately win the prestigious John Philip Sousa award. This early recognition foreshadowed the dedication and commitment he would apply to all facets of his life.
After graduating, Vincent joined the United States Navy, serving his country honorably for 22 years. His time in the navy allowed him to cultivate discipline and instilled in him a sense of duty that he carried with him throughout his life. As a veteran, Vincent displayed unwavering loyalty to his fellow servicemen and was immensely proud of his service
Vincent was an avid supporter of The Ohio State University, proudly cheering on the Buckeyes during football season. Vincent cherished road trips, taking the opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories with his family. His love for the open road extended to his cherished Harley Davidson Road King, which gave him a sense of freedom and adventure.
Vincent was not only dedicated to his immediate family but also to his larger community. He selflessly volunteered for the CYO, bringing joy and support to countless individuals. He adored his dogs. Vincent also had a playful side, particularly during the holidays, as he embraced the role of Santa Claus with enthusiasm and delight, making Christmas truly magical for all who encountered him.
Vincent will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his country, and his community. His genuine kindness, sincere smile, and unwavering love will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.

Vincent's Life Celebration will be held on Thursday September 14, from 2pm until 8pm at Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo, Ohio. Funeral Services will begin Friday September 15 at 11am in the funeral home with Fr. Philip Smith officiating.
