Steven D. Bielski, age 69 of Toledo, Ohio passed away May 22, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Steven was born February 7, 1952 in Toledo to Joseph and Rose (Korfel) Bielski. Born in the heart of the Polish Village, he attended St. Hedwig Catholic Church where he received all sacraments including Matrimony. Steve raised his family in West Toledo and was an active member of the Blessed Sacrament Community. He currently attended Corpus Christi University Parish where he maintained his spirit of volunteering.
Steven’s extensive sports career began as a member of the Fourth Ward Old Timers Green Sox baseball team. His love of basketball began at St. Hedwig grade school and continued through his four years at Central Catholic High School. Steven earned many accolades including the 1970 Catholic youth Organization “Player of the Year” Award.
Steve was very proud to have worked at Jeep for 33 years, following in his father’s footsteps. He worked an additional 12 years at KUKA where he was known by fellow workers for his humor and comradery.
Some of his favorite memories included yearly vacations with his wife and daughters to Sauble Beach, Ontario. Steve enjoyed going to concerts and most of all sitting on the porch playing his guitar while sipping a glass of wine.
His grandchildren will miss Grandpa Steve who would read to them for countless hours.
Surviving are his wife, Canice Bielski, daughters, Erica (Joseph) Cesarz and Rebecca (Nicholas) Hellwig and his sister Christina Jaramillo. Also surviving are his 6 grandchildren, Coco, Ignatius and Wanda Cesarz and Sadie, Leona and Jude Hellwig. Preceding Steve in death are his parents and his brother Michael.
