Peggy (Majka) Amborski passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Spring Meadows Senior Community in Holland, OH. Peggy was born to Martin and Sofia Majka on July 11, 1923 in Toledo, OH, graduating from Woodward High School in 1941. In 1947, she married John Amborski, who had lived across the street.
Peggy was employed 42 years with the original Willys Overland, Kaiser Jeep, and finally Chrysler Corporation. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Adalbert, and member of the Altar Rosary Society, and TAPS. For over 62 years she played cards with a group of women who graduated from Woodward, and whose friendships remained lifelong.
Peggy is survived by her sons, Dale (Christine) of Libertyville, IL, and Richard of Santa Ana, CA; grandchildren, Lisa (Thomas) Przytulski of Rockford IL, and Dale, Jr (Lindsay) Amborski of Chicago IL; great grandchildren, Lydia and Anthony Przytulski, Ellen and Jane Amborski, as well as, many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, and sisters-in-law, Edwin (June) Gluza, Henry (Sally) Majka; sisters and brothers-in-law, Albina (Alvin) Krzyzaniak, Phyllis (Eugene) Hargraves, and Helen (Richard) Wodarski.
Peggy’s Life Celebration will be Sunday, February 3, from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Urbanski Funeral Home, A Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Road, Toledo, OH 419-475-5055, with a Rosary at 5:00 pm. Funeral service will begin Monday February 4, 2019 at 9:00 am in the funeral home, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery Toledo, OH. The family is especially thankful for the loving care provided by the nurses and staff at Spring Meadows Senior Comm
