Paul Michael Sauppe, age 85, of Temperance, Mi, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024 in his residence. Paul was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 22, 1938 to James and Lucine (LaPointe) Sauppe.
Paul retired from General Motors Powertrain where he had worked for 28 years. After retirement, Paul and MaryJane moved to South Sand Lake in Hillsdale MI, where they hosted family and friends for holidays, and weekends at the lake. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, golf, music, and sharing family stories around the fire.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Paul is survived by his wife of 62 years, MaryJane, children Michael (Laura) Sauppe, Kristin (Robert) Huntsman and Scott (Elizabeth) Sauppe, sisters, Alice Sexton and Karen Sauppe and brother Terry (Cindy) Sauppe. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
The family will be receiving friends in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8330 Lewis Ave, Temperance, MI, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. where the Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 p.m.
Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio.
Urbanski Funeral Home, A Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Rd Toledo, Ohio has assisted the family with arrangements.
