Noreen (Weber) Cromly passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 12, 2021 in Toledo, Ohio. Noreen was born on February 1, 1944 to Lawrence and Ursula (Mahoney) Weber. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1962 and was also a graduate of The University of Toledo. Noreen taught in The Diocese of Toledo Schools for over 50 years and until her death she still substituted at various schools throughout the Diocese and was a mentor for student teachers at Bowling Green State University. Being an educator and molding young people was something she took great pride in and something that she loved. She received numerous teaching awards throughout her career. She cared deeply for all of her students and was truly invested in their success. To this day former students contact and visit her and it has often been said she was the best teacher that they have ever had.
On July 23, 1977 she married her soul mate, John Cromly. Together they lovingly raised Noreen’s two children from a previous marriage and the two children they brought into the world together. Noreen had a love for life that was contagious to those around her. She was a woman on the go and involved in many activities. Noreen had a great love for ballet and still went to ballet classes well into her adulthood. Ballet wasn’t the only kind of dance she loved, she loved every kind of dance and danced every chance she could. While in high school her and a friends started the Dancing Irish at Central Catholic and in college she was a proud member of the University of Toledo Rockettes. At the time of her death still enjoyed her favorite past times which included walking at the parks, working out, kick boxing, Zumba, getting together with friends and spending time with her family. She loved her family fiercely and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Along with John they worked hard to provide a loving, secure, happy and fun childhood for their kids and grandkids. Her family was her priority and she nurtured and raised them with a loving hand and ensured they had the opportunity to experience whatever venture they wanted to try. Her, along with John were their kids and grandkids biggest supporters and they rarely missed a game, play, recital or other special event.Noreen is survived by her children Tammy (Steve) Uzl , Michael (Cheryl) Brown, Jennifer (Justin) Hart and John (Kylee) Cromly, her grandchildren Tony (Christyna), Corey (Shelby), Aaron, Skyler, John Alexander, Deacon, Bo (Kelsey), Ethan and Lane, great grandson Anthony, many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life John Cromly, parents Lawrence and Ursula Weber and brother Thomas Weber. Visitation will be at the Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Road, Toledo, Ohio, 43623 on Monday, June 21 from 2:00 – 8:00 pm. Visitation will also be on Tuesday June 22, 2021 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. in the Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 2240 Castlewood Toledo, Ohio 43613 with Fr.
