Marceil Carla Conaway, age 99 of Crystal Lake, IL passed away January 13, 2022 in Crossroads Care Center. Marceil was born February 13, 1922 in Toledo, Ohio to Brantley and Gertrude (Shirey) Forbes. A 1940 graduate of Devilbis High School, she worked at Colonial Cleaners for 17 years. Marcie was a past president of Conn-Weissenberger Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the 8 and 40 and a past member of Hampton Park Christian Church. She was most happy spending time with family and friends or enjoying music and dancing.
Surviving are her daughters, Carla (Chuck) Ryder and Kim (Ron) Sliwa, daughter in law, Vicki Stine, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Charles Ed Conaway, son, John Stine and daughter Bonnie Stine.
