Joseph Clyde Poe, age 76, of Toledo, passed away Thursday January 30, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Ebeid Center. Joe was born in Marion, Indiana on January 23, 1949, to Paul and Dorothy (Holloway) Poe. He worked as a retired truck driver, a security guard at St. Vincent's hospital and retired as a bus driver for Washington Local Schools where he coined his famous line "the little darlings". Joe was always wanting to keep busy. He loved to tinker on anything he could get his hands on. He loved his cars, especially his 75 Corvette, his motorcycles, and his latest project putting motors on bicycles. He loved making crafts, woodworking and travelling across the US with his wife Mary and grandchildren. His biggest thrill of all was time spent with his kids and grandkids. He will miss his monthly get togethers with the bus garage crew from WLS.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; daughter, Michelle; sister, Lucy; and brother, Paul Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Janet (Brian) Bastien; grandchildren, Melissa Fuller, Timothy (Stella) Nagy, Joseph (Jacqulyn) Fuller, and William (Kassie) Chappell; and great-grandchildren, Leah, Olivia, Jameson, Averie and AJ. Also surviving is his good friend, Millie Eddinger.
