James L. Ryan age 91 of Toledo passed away Monday December 21, 2020 in his residence. James was born in Toledo on November 22, 1929 to Frank and Elizabeth Ryan. James was a U. S. Army Korean War Veteran. James was a tool and die maker for many years. He had worked his way up to becoming the owner of the former Toledo Mold. James had many accomplishments in his career. He had created the mold for the original Aunt Jemima Syrup bottles, salad dressing bottles and he also was instrumental on the “push tab” can with Coors Beer. James was an avid fisherman, enjoying many days on the water. He is survived by his wife Loretta, children Tom (Regina) Ryan, Jim (Jeri) Ryan, Kelly Kinsey and Lars Ryan, sister Gloria Fisher, 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. The funeral mass for James will be Monday December 28, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church 5522 Dorr St Toledo, Ohio which will be live streamed at littleflowertoledo.org the burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
