Eugene C. "Gene" Barsen

Eugene C. “Gene” Barsen age 72 of Toledo passed away Wednesday December 22, 2021 in his residence. Gene was born in Toledo on January 3, 1949 to Charles and Dorothy (Smud) Barsen. He was a graduate of Woodward High School and was drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam War. Gene was a jack of all trades and was very dependable in getting the jobs done. He never believed in just holding down one job for a long time. He was a comedian of sorts and a man of determination. Gene liked to fish, hunt, camp bike ride and listen to his 60’s music. He was a very generous person and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gene is survived by his wife of 46 years Bernice (Hill), children Nathan, Cary and Jason Barsen, grandchildren Nathan JR, Meranda, Dylin, Courtney, Gabriel and Vanessa and great grandchild Renezemae.
