Edie A. Dunne, age 63 of Temperance, MI passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after a 9-year battle with cancer. Psalm 91 was her life verse. Edie was born January 9, 1959 in Lansing, MI to Edward and Marjorie (Sutherland) Mohrhardt. A Sunfield, MI resident, she graduated in 1977 from Lakewood High School, where she played the coronet in the band and developed a love of music. After graduating from The University of Toledo, she worked as a Project Manager for TNS/Kantar North America for almost 20 years.
Edie was a warrior throughout her battle with cancer; although it broke her body, it never broke her spirit or faith. She will be remembered as a devout Christ follower who was extremely loving, loyal and honoring to her family and many friends.
Edie was a very adventurous cook who prepared such a wide variety of foods so well, some assumed she had special training.
Edie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially the long list of people who received years of greeting cards, a tradition she inherited from her mother Marge.
Surviving is her loving husband of 34 years Jerry, Sr., her children, Jerry (Melissa) Dunne and Michelle (Dustin) Reed, Eunhye Cheon “Hannah”, who she loved as a daughter, grandchildren, Owen, Finn and Claire Dunne, sisters, Theresa (John) Swanson, Kristina (James) Abbey and Caroline Rapin. Preceding Edie in death were her parents and brother-in-law, David Rapin.
Her family would like to thank all those who prayed for and with her, especially the encouraging comments from those who faithfully followed her “Updates on My New Adventure” (Facebook blog) she started 4/2014. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial contributions to be made to Compelled Church Next Generation Scholarship fund or http://Ambassadorstothenations.com for both of which Edie felt deep compassion.
Edie’s Life Celebration will begin Wednesday September 14, 2022 from 4 pm until 9 pm and continuing Thursday September 15, 2022 10 am until noon at Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd.
