Delores "Dee" Bailey Campbell

Delores "Dee" Bailey Campbell, age 88 of Toledo, passed into eternal life on June 6, 2024, to join her loved ones in Heaven. Dee was born in Soldier, Kentucky, to parents Bud and Belvia Cundiff. Dee attended Soldier Elementary School and Olive Hill (KY) High School. She moved to Toledo with her family in 1956. Her first marriage to James Bailey ended in divorce. He is now deceased. Dee married Dr. James Campbell in 1978 and worked in his chiropractic office. He passed away in 2003. Dee and Jim had many fun vacations - lots of golf, and each had a "hole in one."

Dee enjoyed her family, her son Danny and her three grandsons. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church where she served as a volunteer greeter and Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed card games and going out with her special friends. She was a member of the Elks Lodge #53 and was formerly a member of Valleywood Golf Club.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James Campbell, her parents, son Danny Bailey, four sisters, and six brothers. Surviving Dee are three grandsons, Clint (Erika), Casey (Kaity) and Cameron (Trinity) Bailey, daughter-in-law, Cindy (Gorney) Bailey, stepchildren, Mike (Becky) Campbell, Chris (Elisa) Campbell, Jayme (Kenneth) Potter and Jennifer (Rick) Dawdry, and special nephews, Ron (Kimberly) Thornsberry and Gale (Cheryl) Vickers. Also surviving are great-nephews and nieces as well as her extended Campbell and Gorney families and many great friends.

Dee's Life Celebration will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Monday, June 24 at Urbanski Funeral Home, a Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Road, Toledo (419) 475-5055. Visitation will continue Tuesday, June 25, at 9:30 a.m. in Christ the King Catholic Church 4100 Harvest Lane Toledo, Ohio where the Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. The burial of her cremated remains will take place in Toledo Memorial Park at a later date.
