Brenda (Bevan) Balazs passed away peacefully on August 8, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family in her hometown of Toledo, Ohio. She was born October 26, 1955 in London, Ontario, Canada and moved to Toledo, OH as a child and earned her U. S. Citizenship in 1996. After graduating from Start High School, she pursued her passion for fine art, earning several awards and being honored by the Toledo Museum of Art. She then married Rick Balazs, her soul mate of 39 years and became a loving mother of four. While raising her family, she went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a Minor in Art History. Her desire to become more knowledgeable about the world encouraged her to then gain her master’s degree in Public Administration. Her passion and love for life was seen in everything that she did; from becoming a talented artist and Jewelry Designer, to a loving Teacher and mom.
