Obituaries - In Loving Memory

Beverly "Bev" Jean Lehman
June/16/1944 - October/22/2022

Beverly "Bev" Jean Lehman has left the building. She left this world on October 22, 2022 in Sylvania, Ohio. Bev came into this life 11 minutes after her brother Richard "Dick" Straub and she has left this life 6 months after him. Born to Ellsworth and Elizabeth (Ruppel) Straub June 16, 1944, she attended Devilbiss High School, graduating in 1962. Bev began working at Toledo Trust, now known as Key Bank, when she was 21 years old, and stayed there for 9 years. Having met the love of her life in 1967, Bev and Thomas "Tom" were married July 18, 1970 and on December 11, 1974 they became parents to Cheryl and Michelle. One of Bev's greatest joys in life was being a twin with twins, something of which she was very proud. Bev was also a very active member of the Toledo Mothers of Twins, a group of mothers she loved dearly. After spending 5 years at home raising her girls, she went back to work at Netcraft where she retired in 2015. Besides Tom, her other true love was Elvis. She loved everything about him and her house was adorned with Elvis memorabilia. She enjoyed reading Harlequin Romance novels and gossip magazines. Bev also loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, Detroit Tigers and the Toledo Mud Hens. The last 18 years Bev had faced many health issues which ultimately took its toll on her body. She always looked forward to her monthly dinners with her life long friends from Longfellow School and lunches with her Twins Club friends. Bev was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas, sister Joyce Seymour, brother Richard 'Dick" Straub and grandson Thomas Lehman. She is survived by her daughters Cheryl (Jon) Nissen and Michelle (Jim) Mossburg, grandchildren Hunter (Garrett) Ueberroth, Ashland (Joshua) Gilkerson and Brennon Mossburg. Also surviving are her great granddaughter Emily Lehman, brother-in-law Albert "Al" (Linda) Lehman, sister-in-law Martha (Alan) Kunz and many nieces and nephews.
