Richard Alan Straub
Longtime Toledo resident Richard (Dick) Straub, age 77, passed away on April 8, 2022 after a brief sudden illness. The son of Ellsworth (Al) and Elizabeth (Betty) Straub, Dick and his twin Beverly were born on June 16th, 1944. A graduate of DeVilbiss High School, Dick briefly attended the University of Toledo and served in the Army Reserves. Most of his career was spent in the food industry, managing many Toledo area Kroger stores. Later in his career he was a successful food broker until his retirement in 2010. A long-time Elks Lodge member, Dick loved bowling, sailing, and golfing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Joyce Seymour, and his wife Geraldine Straub. He is survived by his sons, Steven (Evan), Jeffrey (Chelsea), and Ryan (Maritza); grandchildren Elise, Bryce, Phoenix, Zavier, Zane, and Jazmyn; as well as his sister Beverly (Lehman), ex-wife Christine Straub, close friend Judy Ganoom, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Memorial Services
Richard’s Visitation will be Tuesday April 12, 2022 from 6 to 8 pm at Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo, Ohio. Graveside services will be held privately in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Toledo, Ohio. A Life Celebration will be held from 5-8 pm May 13, 2022 at the Elks Lodge 3520 N Holland Sylvania Rd, Toledo, OH 43615. Dick suffered from severe restless leg syndrome (RLS). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to RLS research at http://www.rls.org/donate.
