Obituaries - In Loving Memory

Jacob Thomas Pavlica
May/4/1993 - February/12/2022

Jacob Thomas Pavlica of Toledo, OH passed away on February 12th, 2022. He was 28 years old and lived a life full of love and laughter. Jake was truly one of a kind and made a profound impact on the lives of countless family and friends. Music and the arts were at the core of who Jake was; he was a talented singer-songwriter who played many different instruments. He also loved spending time with his friends, being in nature, bird watching, and poetry. Artistic, caring, genuine, and hilarious are just a few of the words that described Jake. He was loved by so many because of how he loved them.

Jacob is the son of Virginia and John Pavlica, Jr. Jake is survived by his sister Emily (Jake) Varble, brother Matthew Palicki, and Grandfather John Pavlica Sr. He is the uncle of Isabella and Hazel Varble, Haley (Joe) Palicki, and Noah Palicki. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins, a beloved special second family and thousands in the arts community. Jake graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in 2011. During high school he was involved in band, choir, drama club, student council, and goofing off getting in trouble for his “silly nonsense.” Jake was also chosen to be the Homecoming King his senior year of high school.
