David J. Nowak

David J. Nowak, age 68, of Toledo, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 6, 2021. David was born December 5, 1953 in Toledo to Stanley and Verna (Gdanski) Nowak. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1972 and worked at Textile Leather for 37 years. He was a faithful Catholic and met Colette (Mominee) at an Exercise in Christian Living Weekend in 1976 and their friendship grew with Christ at the center of their lives. In 1981 he married the love of his life Colette and they recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Music and hockey were his passions.

Surviving are Colette, children, Ashley (Matthew), David John (Natasha) and Stephen (Jessica), grandchildren, Jacob, Kaylee, Avarie and one future grandchild, brother, Fred (Jean), sister-in-law, JoAnn Cellura, brother-in- law, Jerome (Cathie) Mominee and sister-in-law Linda Mominee. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and his fur baby and companion Walter Thomas. Preceding him in death were his parents, his infant brother and brothers-in-law, Salvatore Cellura and William Addes Mominee.

Memorial Services
David’s Life Celebration will begin Friday, January 21, 2022 from 2-8 pm at Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd, Toledo, OH. Friends are also welcome to visit Saturday January 22, from 10-11 am in Blessed Sacrament Parish located at 2240 Castlewood Dr, Toledo, OH where the Funeral Mass will begin at 11 am with Fr. Michael Geiger officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
