Johnnie Ray Jones Sr

Johnnie Ray Jones Sr. age 87 of Toledo passed away Wednesday November 10, 2021 at St. Ann Mercy Hospital. Johnnie was born in Arlington, KY on March 12, 1934 to John and Lena Jones. Johnnie was a laborer most of his life and retired from Great Lakes Corrugated. He was a US Army veteran. Johnnie was a very hard worker, but he also enjoyed his time away. He loved to shoot pool, fishing, farming and playing cards. He was a member of the Zablocki Senior Center and was a former volunteer for the Bedford Twp Fire Dept. Johnnie loved playing the lottery Pick 3 game and was always going to get the winning ticket. He also had a sweet tooth and craved his ice cream cone every night. But most of all Johnnie was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma, brothers Henry, Barkley, Berry and James and a sister Evala. He is survived by his children Johnnie Jones Jr, and Gail (Kevin) Herman, grandchildren Lena, Kevin (Melissa) and Ambyr, great grandchildren Kevin III, Braelynn, Cole and William V, also surviving are his sisters Ollena, Emily, Glenda and Nellie. The family will be receiving friends and family in the Urbanski Funeral Home 5055 Secor Rd Toledo, Ohio on Tuesday November 16, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where the funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial in Bedford Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial Services
The family will be receiving friends and family in the Urbanski Funeral Home 5055 Secor Rd Toledo, Ohio on Tuesday November 16, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where the funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial in Bedford Memorial Cemetery.
