Joan Marie Miller

Joan Marie Miller age 93, formerly of Toledo, Ohio passed away December 19, 2020 at Aspen Grove in Lambertville, Michigan. Joan was born April 20, 1927 in Toledo to Roman and Mary (Krauza) Blachowski. She graduated from Woodward High School in 1944 and married Ty D. Miller April 23, 1948. She worked as a cashier for many years at Sylvania Public Schools until her retirement. Joan was a long-time member of the Sylvania First United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Joan was Loving, caring and compassionate and her smiling face will be missed by those who knew her.

Surviving are her loving children, Randy (Barbara) Miller, Tom (Patty) Miller, Laurie Kowalski and Jim (Ronda) Miller, grandchildren, Matthew (Nikki) Kowalski, Andrew Kowalski, Chris (Jackie) Miller, Kellsey (Tyler) Wash, Ashlee (Corey) Leffler and Jamee (Andrew) Kujawa. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Wyatt Wash, Camden Kujawa, Madison Shalhoup, Allison Shalhoup, Caitlyn Kowalski and Carter Kowalski. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Ty, son in law Donald Kowalski, 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Memorial Services
In order to keep the community safe, her visitation and funeral were held privately at Urbanski Funeral Home, a Life Celebration home 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo, Ohio. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
