Nieves Mendoza

Nieves Mendoza age 83 of Erie, Michigan passed away December 18, 2020 in the Toledo Hospital. Nieves was born August 5, 1937 in Thrall, Texas to Max Gallegos and Josephina Ramirez. She married Jose Mendoza August 22, 1955 and together they raised 10 children and 2 grandchildren.

Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years Jose, children, Maria (Nato) Montoya, Carlos (Juanita) Mendoza, Arleen (Joe) Carmona, Justina Mendoza, Abel (Darcie) Mendoza, David (Ayne) Mendoza, Rudy (Kimmy) Mendoza, Ruby (Thomas) Grey, Mary (Chris) Torres, Grandchildren Ricky (Amber) Mendoza, and Nieves (Robert) Perez. Also surviving are her loving brother Manuel (Linda) Herrera along with 27 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 15 great great- grandchildren. Memorial Services
Nieves’s life celebration will begin Monday December 28, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. in Urbanski Funeral Home, a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Rd. Toledo, Ohio 43623. The family will also be receiving family and friends Tuesday December 29, from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Mass begins at 11:00 a.m. In SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church 738 S. St. Clair St. Toledo, Ohio 43609. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Erie, Michigan 48133
