David D. Sheets
February/9/1942 - February/3/2019

David D. Sheets, 76, passed away February 3rd at Toledo Hospital. A lifelong Toledoan, he attended Macomber High School and worked at Toledo Jeep for 45 years, retiring in 2008.
In his younger years, he enjoyed spending time with his siblings and friends in the Old South End. With an explorative nature, Dave often took his wife and daughters on fun Sunday drives with a few adventurous stops along the way.
A talented woodworker, Dave enjoyed making original furniture pieces for his family and friends. One of his favorite hobbies was refurbishing classic cars including several Buicks and a Studebaker. His most prized accomplishment was The Sheetsmobile, a car he built from scratch including a solid oak frame, and registered with the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
Dave is survived by his loving wife Edwina Carol (Rucki) Sheets, daughters Beverly McNear and Helene Sheets; sisters Shirley Mitchem, Nancy (Paul) Brothers, Susan Mills, and Linda (Gib) Baker; brothers Larry (Maryellen) Sheets, Rick Sheets and Kenneth Sheets; beloved grandchildren Justin, Sean and Chloe McNear; and several cherished nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Margie Rabara, brother Jack Sheets, brother-in-law Clarence Mitchem and sister-in-law Chris Sheets.

Visitation will be in the Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Road Toledo, Ohio, on Friday February 8, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm. with prayer services beginning at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass is scheduled on February 9, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. in Historic St. Patrick Catholic Church, 130 Avondale, with interment at Ottawa Hills Cemetery immediately following.

Memorial Services

Visitation will be in the Urbanski Funeral Home a Life Celebration Home 5055 Secor Road Toledo, Ohio, on Friday February 8, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm.with prayer services beginning at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass is scheduled on February 9, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. in Historic St. Patrick Catholic Church, 130 Avondale, with interment at Ottawa Hills Cemetery immediately following.
