Wilford R. Bennett, age 74, of Swanton, formerly of West Virginia, died Monday, September 17, 2018 in his home. He was born September, 9, 1944 in Mt. Clare, West Virginia. Over the course of his life, “Will” had worked as a coal miner, mechanic and a truck driver. He was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers as well as a collector of die-cast semi trucks. Those who knew him best would describe Will as “grumpy,” always complaining about having to drive the grandkids somewhere – while at the same time loving every minute of it.
Wilford was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, daughter, Tammy, wife, Jeanette Bronson, and son-in-law, Carl Brown. He is survived by his family; Mary Jo (John) Hall, Patty Lou Wise, Pamela (Jason) Marquis, Robin (Bobby) Thomas and Debbie Brown; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ray and Betty Robbins. Also surviving are special granddaughter, Kay Mohas, 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends in the Urbanski Funeral Home, A Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Road, Toledo, (419) 475-5055 on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until funeral services begin at 6:00 p.m.
